Jummah (Friday) prayer is a congregational prayer which is performed by Muslims on every Friday. Jummah (Friday) prayer is followed by a sermon (khutbah) from an imam. Virtues of Jummah Prayer:- Many hadiths have been narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) which explain the virtues of Jumu`ah prayer. For example:
It is recommended to recite Surah (chapters) As-Sajdah (32) and Al-Insan (76) during the Dawn prayer of Friday after reciting the Al-Fatihah (1). It is also recommended to go as early as possible to the mosque for Jumu'ah. Walking to the mosque for Jumu'ah is recommended, as well as being as close to the Khatib as possible.

There are different opinions as to the number of people needed to perform the Friday prayer, which I shall summarize according to the Mazhabs as follows: Shafi'i and Hanbali: The number of people needed is 4, excluding the imam. Maliki: The number of people needed is 12, excluding the imam. Hanafi: The number of people needed is 3, excluding Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, " Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim. ". Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani. عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى Consequently, we see that it is not permissible for the person who does not understand the language of the Khateeb to speak even with Thikr while the Khutbah is being given. Finally, please note that women are not obliged to perform the Friday prayer. If women attend the Friday prayer, then they are not required to perform the Thuhr prayer as ZOtE.
